There’s plenty of magic
While we don’t want to spoil it for you, we will say that there are plenty of magical moments during the show. From upside-down dancing to flying on stage to over-sized toys, there’s plenty of spectacular scenes to behold.
Great songs
This version doesn’t include all of the songs from the film but the core tunes are there including A Spoonful of Sugar, Let’s Go Fly a Kite, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and Chim Chim Cher-ee. There are also some new (and very catchy) numbers included.
A brilliant cast
Zizi Strallen is the perfect choice for Mary Poppins. She’s elegant but amiable and she sure can sing. Matt Lee, who plays Bert, is also an excellent choice. His background as a choreographer and dancer really makes him stand out.
It's Christmas
As much as we love being off for the holidays, it can be tricky coming up with activities to keep the little ones amused. That's why taking in a show is perfect. It's a lovely day out that won't necessarily break the bank. You could even use it as gift inspiration for your nearest and dearest!
Mary Poppins will be at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from December 3rd 2015 to January 9th 2016. Tickets, starting from €25, are on sale now from Ticketmaster. For more information or to enquiry about offers, call 01 677 7770.Explore more on these topics:
