A 7-year-old girl explains in a cute and funny video how her 2 mums had a baby

The no-nonsense approach

Sive O'Brien

Any parents who don’t know exactly how to explain facts of life to their children, should just take a leaf out of this little girl’s book.

The seven-year-old daughter to Susan and Brandy had a very-matter-of-fact approach when she took to YouTube with a video that she says was made for other kids who have two mums and don’t know how to explain it to other kids.

Talking about exactly how her two mums had a baby, she explains that a baby needs an egg and sperm to grow, and “the girl has an egg and the boy has sperm”.

Getting into the nitty gritty, she continues, “They call this guy at this place called a sperm donor and then they ask for sperm and when he gives it to them, they say thank you. Then he’s the kid’s invisible father, and that’s how they get born.”

We love this cute little girl’s no-nonsense approach, and we’ll blame any giggling (by us) on her infectious laughter.
