A few days ago, a study revealed that husbands create an extra 7 hours of housework and that their other half is usually the one that ends up doing it.
Now a new commercial by
Ariel India is trying to encourage husbands to #SharetheLoad by doing their bit around the home.
The advertisement shows a father watching his daughter run around tidying up and tending to her family after a hard day’s work.
Viewers can hear him reading out a letter which he has written her, saying: “My little baby girl. You’re all grown up now. You used to play house.
“And now you manage your own house and your office. I am so proud and I am so sorry... I never told you that it's not your job alone... but your husband's, too.”
Facebook’s Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg shared the commercial on her page, describing it as “one of the most powerful videos” she has ever seen.
The clip, created by BBDO India for Ariel India, is going viral and is getting a lot of reaction online with many praising its message.
