"On Friday, St. Patrick's Day, it will be a cool start. Although dry to begin away from the northwest coast, rain there will extend steadily southeastwards during the course of the day. Winds will be moderate southwest, increasing fresh during the day and outbreaks of rain will be heavy in western and northern areas. Afternoon temperatures will be between 9 and 11 degrees. There'll be further rain on Saturday but there will be dry periods also, the best of any dry weather in the south and in the southeast of the country. The moderate to fresh southwest winds will continue through the weekend and into the early days of next week as the weather looks set to remain unsettled with further rain or showers at times."Let's pray we have the luck of the Irish on Friday and it is not all wellies and brollies!
