Bad news for Bluey fans as producers give update on future of the show

Beloved children’s TV show Bluey is set to be put on a break after three seasons on our screens.

The Australian hit TV show, which follows the adventures of Bluey, Bingo, Bandit, and Chili, is set to go on a hiatus.

The creators of the show have revealed that they are planning on taking a break from writing new episodes, the same week the series broke the record after becoming Australia’s most watched show ever.

And the reason for this pause in production is simply because they don’t want to experience burnout.

Bluey producer Daley Pearson said that while the success of the show has been incredible, it comes with long working days and they need a break.

“We are just going to get our heads on a bit, it’s been four or five years and we’ve made 154 episodes, it is kind of unprecedented to do that back-to-back,” he explained in an interview with Australia’s The Courier Mail.

“It was very intense … we are just coming to the end of season three and trying to think about what’s the best way to make it better,” he added.

“We have all secretly agreed with each other that we wouldn’t keep making Bluey if it wasn’t as good as the one that came before, so we want to make sure we keep doing that.”

Both parents and children agree that when it comes to saying goodbye to the show, it’s something that will be a difficult thing to do.
