Then you – and your kids – will no doubt love this one:
You can now trap your Elf on the Shelf inside your TV. No really. And it’s actually super-simple to pull off too.
All you need is a Smart TV with access to YouTube.
Now, go to the YouTube app on your TV, and simply search for ‘Elf stuck in TV’.
Now, you should get up a video showing the elf trapped behind the television screen.
I mean, how simple was that?!
The background of the image shows a message saying, ‘I hit the wrong button on the remote … How do I get out of here?’
We reckon the kids will love this one!
Even better? There are a number of different versions of the video, showing both trapped boy and girl elves so you can choose one that looks just like your family’s elf, meaning the whole thing will be far more believable too.
The video is on a one-hour loop, so if you manage to get up before the kids, just stick it on and it will be there on the TV for them to find when they get down in the morning.
Alternatively, you can set up the video to run on your phone and let them find the Elf there.
