Check Out The Embarrassing Error In Directions On This Kids Shower Gel Bottle

Cassie Delaney

Grandparents Richard and Tracey Shiner were left horrified when their 8-year-old granddaughter opened a bottle of Lush Snow Fairy shower gel and read a suggestive message in the How To Use section.

The section reads:

“If you really don’t know how, then we suggest you find someone you really like and invite them into the shower with you to demonstrate.”

The couple said that the packaging and name of the product suggested that it would be child-friendly. The set contained the shower gel and moldable bath putty.

Richard told the Sun that the product didn’t come with any warning.

“It didn’t say anything about age restrictions or anything. I couldn’t believe it said that. Then, of course Macy was asking me what it meant. I didn’t know what to say to her, so I had to pretend it meant she could bath with Buddy. But that’s not really appropriate either. It was the only thing I could think of to say to her at the time.”

Richard said he was so upset by the incident that he rang Lush HQ to make a complaint.

He said that the manager revealed that the line was aimed at children and that there had been a number of complaints about the packaging. He said it was meant to be “tongue in cheek”.

What do you think? Over-reaction or a legitimate concern?
