Chris Hemsworth admits he snuck his child onto a rollercoaster and it did NOT go well

As you might expect.

Our nerves.

We’d never doubt Chris Hemsworth’s capabilities as a parent but we have to question his decision to take his daughter on a 200ft ride at Disneyland.

We’ve all circumvented rules at one stage or another (how many times have you pretended that you six/ seven/ eight-year-old is under five?) but Chris’s story is a reminder of why certain rules exist in the first place.

The actor was on a family day out at Disneyland and said his six-year-old daughter India Rose was devastated when she didn’t meet the height requirement for the Tower of Terror rollercoaster.

Chris couldn’t stand for this and so came up with a creative solution.

“She was really upset. And I was like ‘Nah, forget this. Come here,’” Chris said on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

“So I grabbed a couple of Snickers bars and things and slammed it in the back of her shoe under the heel.”

She was allowed to ride, he said, but things took a turn for the dangerous when they were actually on the rollercoaster.

“She’s strapped in, you know the seat is massive on her,” he said.

“And I’m like, ‘We beat the system honey, well done.’ And then it drops.”

The child zoomed up in the air, he said, and began screaming.

“I just grabbed onto her. She’s screaming the whole way down.”

He admitted that he realised then why there’s a height requirement.

Scarlett Johansson, who was also on the show, berated Chris for sneaking her on to the rollercoaster and called him “wildly irresponsible.”

Chris assured everyone that he’d learned his lesson.

“So, don’t do that. She’s fine, she’s well.”

Chris appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live with his Avengers co-stars to promote their new film Avengers: Endgame – watch him tell his terrifying story here:
