“When James took his first steps a couple weeks short of his fourth birthday, because he has special needs... "Seeing the amount of work that went into [it], it was pretty amazing and humbling to see."James, the actor's firstborn son, turns 14 years old next week. He has a rare genetic disorder called Angolan syndrome, which among other symptoms, causes motor and developmental disabilities. And the proud dad told how while any child taking their first steps is a celebratory occasion, it especially moved him knowing his son had worked so hard to hit the milestone. The Lobster star added:
“People talk about the children taking the first step, it’s obviously a monumental moment and it’s been represented in film. “But to be told your child may never take the first step and then see those first steps is just kind of a different sport all together.”
