RTÉ is looking for talented kids between 4 and 8 for a new TV show

If your child has happy feet, they will love the free event taking place later this month.

Mark the 23 June in your diary now for Cruinniú na nÓg is a fun-filled day for kids and their families. With a variety of performances, theatre, art, dance and music workshops throughout Dublin, there’s something to get everyone moving.

Hosted by Dance Ireland, participants will get to attend workshops and dance performances for free.

I took part last year with my son and he absolutely loved it. He’s a total show off so he loved taking part in the workshops but if your child prefers to spectate plenty of performances to take in.

Suitable for children aged four and above, your child will get to experience creative dance, hip-hop and contemporary dance.

An initiative between Dance Ireland and Dublin City Council these workshops and performances give the whole family a great excuse to get out and get moving.

The workshops also work great as taster classes for children interested in taking up dance as a hobby. It’s also a great excuse to get the kids away from tablets and laptops for a few hours and spend time getting fit in a fun way instead.

All events are free but booking in advance is required. You can check out the full schedule on Dance Ireland’s website.
