“Don’t you want to feel like part of the family?” Spencer Matthews wants Vogue to take his last name

Vogue Williams last name

Is it really that big of a deal at this day and age?

They have been husband and wife since 2018, and are now the proud parents of two little ones, but it seems Vogue Williams and hubby Spencer Matthews still have a couple of issues to iron out in regards to family admin.

Williams, 35, who welcomed her second baby – daughter Gigi – with Matthews last year, has yet to change her last name to match his and the kids’ – and it seems Spencer, 32, is getting a little impatient about it.

On an episode of their podcast, the pair were having their usual banter when Spencer introduced his wife as ‘Vogue Matthews’ and promptly went into a discussion about the matter.

“Do you remember a promise you made last year, that at the beginning of 2021 you’d sort all your passports and cards out and stuff, get on with it,” Spencer said.

“Don’t you want to feel like part of the family? Theodore Matthews, Gigi Matthews, Spencer Matthews, Vogue Williams.”

However, it seems his wife is in no rush, and in fact, thinks it more important that they get Irish passports sorted for their kids.

Replying to her husband, Vogue said: “Do you know what, do you want to make a deal. I will sort that crap out if you get the two kids an Irish passport.”

Born-and-raised Londoner, Spencer said: “What, I’m not Irish. I’d like an Irish passport.

“Someone has to apply for them, you are allowed to apply for your kids but you are not allowed to have one, sorry.”

“We don’t want your kind,” she teased.

“Make a deal, if you do that, I’ll do mine.”

In their usual light-hearted ways on the series, Spencer quipped back: “I’m not shaking on it or any of this .. it’s all the same admin. Why don’t you just do it in one go.”
