An entire week of spooky events is taking place at this stunning venue

Louise Carroll

With Halloween and midterm break approaching, plenty of us could do with some fresh ideas to keep the kids entertained.

Well… this time Halloween need not end on 31 October because Lullymore Heritage Park is hosting a week-long spook-tastic entertainment event for all the family to enjoy.

Based in Rathangan, Co. Kildare, the magnificent park boasts 60 acres of woodland trails and peatlands – perfect for exploring, and oodles of fun! There’s also a pet farm where kids can find themselves some new fur friends and learn all about them too.

Of course, little feet do get tired and so there’s also a shop, café and picnic area for folks to chill out and take a breather.

But the seven fun-filled days of ghostly events run from Saturday 28 October until Friday 3 November – and it’s not one to be missed.

Ghastly ghouls, haunted holograms, zombie attacks, tours on the Terror Train and even some treasure hunting is in store for all.  We also hear there’s a funky forest – intriguing…

Each day, Lullymore will open at 10am to 6pm and the team have made clear that they expect the Bank Holiday weekend to be exceptionally busy, so if anyone has a query or concern, give them a call on 045 870238.

Parking is free and admission is pretty decent value too.
