11-year-old girl’s Christmas list will bring a tear to your eye

It won’t be long before kids across the country are pulling out a pen and paper to compile their lists for Santa. Perhaps, if you live in an organised household, it’s already happening.

But while thousands of children will be asking for the latest toys, one 11-year-old from Southampton has a different type of request.

Bobbie-Mae Chalk only wants one thing: a cure for her mother’s Crohn’s disease (Crohn’s disease is a form of inflammatory bowel disease).

Speaking about her daughter’s wish, Debby (31) said: “I was a little bit surprised as I always feel like I put on a brave face and hide my illness well but clearly nothing gets past her. Love her.”

Crohn’s and Colitis UK shared the note on their Facebook page and it’s received quite the reaction with over 7,000 ‘Likes’ and more than 700 shares.

It reads: “Dear Santa,

“Please if you can make my mums life better make her not feel ill all the time I would really appreciate it.

“Just PLEASE!! Make her life more and more better it hurts to watch her suffer so please make it better.

“If I had one wish in the whole world it would be to help.”

Someone, pass us a tissue please!
