Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn have welcomed their first child, a baby girl.
The singer announced the news on his Instagram account today, sharing a photo of a pair of baby socks and saying that he and Cherry welcomed their daughter last week.
"Ello!" he wrote. "A quick message from me as I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you.
"Last week, with the help of an amazing delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter - Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran. We are completely in love with her.
"Both mum and baby are doing amazing and we are on cloud nine over here. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Lots of love and I’ll see you when it’s time to come back, Ed x."

Ed, who is currently on hiatus from music, began dating childhood friend Cherry in 2015. The pair had a long distance relationship for some months before Cherry moved back to the UK from the US.
The couple married in secret in 2018 following a short engagement. Ed hosted the ceremony at his Suffolk estate just before Christmas.
It was reported that they were expecting their first child earlier this summer.
