Two women have just adopted three young brothers to prevent them from being separated again.
Joey, Noah and Logan were living in three separate foster homes before being adopted by KC and Lena Currie.
The couple had originally adopted only Joey but subsequently adopted his two brothers after finding out about them through the adoption service.
Partners KC and Lena Currie adopted Joey in 2018 after meeting him at an event organised by non-profit group Children’s Friend.
Not long after they adopted Joey they received a call from Children’s Friend to say that Joey’s younger brother, Noah, then six weeks old, was also in need of a family to take care of him.
Without a second thought KC and Lena said yes.
Some time later the charity got in touch with the Currie's again to say that the boy's middle sibling Logan was living with a foster family after an adoption organised for him fell through.
Once again KC and Lena said yes without any hesitation.
Within months their kind heartedness had reunited all the brothers together again.
The boys, now all toddlers, are currently living happily with their two mothers in Massachusetts.
When speaking to
Good Morning America KC said that it was very important for both KC and her wife to keep the boys together;
"It was our gut-feeling. We were going to end up saying yes because keeping the brothers together was really important to us.
When they’re older and have questions, they’ll have each other to lean on and experience that ride together."
Hundreds of children go through the foster care system in the United States so it's wonderful to hear of not one but three children finding their forever home and even better again that they are brothers that have been brought back together.
