Fans are now taking to the reality star's Instagram page to share their support and to tell Ferne to "ignore" those who are critical of her actions.

"Just wanted to say how lovely it was seeing you feeding Sunday and ignore any nasty comments, it’s safe to drink small amounts and feed anyway, hardly any transfers to your milk. "It's myths like not being able to drink that can put people off."https://www.instagram.com/p/BeTYMdzl3dT/?hl=en&taken-by=fernemccann Another wrote:
"You do NOT need to explain urself to anyone!!!! So what even if u did have a shot before feeding Sunday, it was ONE!!! "When the breastfeeding mother drinks occasionally or limits her consumption to one drink or less per day, the amount of alcohol her baby receives has not been proven to be harmful."The American Academy of Pediatrics Committee On Drugs furthermore considers alcohol compatible with breastfeeding. It lists possible side effects as drowsiness, deep sleep, weakness, and abnormal weight gain in the infant - but only if alcohol is consumed in large amounts. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bdha4b-FUmN/?hl=en&taken-by=fernemccann Dr Jack Newman, member of the LLLI Health Advisory Council, has also stated:
"Reasonable alcohol intake should not be discouraged at all. "As is the case with most drugs, very little alcohol comes out in the milk. The mother can take some alcohol and continue breastfeeding as she normally does. "Prohibiting alcohol is another way we make life unnecessarily restrictive for nursing mothers."Ferne gave birth to baby Sunday in early November of last year. She and Sunday's father, Arthur Collins, are no longer together.
