This could be the solution for Mums on-the-run – this is the perfect monitor to track movement (or lack thereof). You wear it like a belt (yep, I know, good title) and it tracks all kinds of things. It measures your activity and adjusts to your body when you sit to keep your posture spot on. You can even download the data to keep track of how your waistline fluctuates. You know you've eaten too much when the muffin top appears, but it's certainly not as accurate just wearing a normal belt. French company Emiota is due to launch this futuristic product really soon. Hmmm... one to think about it.

If your little one isn’t so little anymore it might be time to upgrade them to a laptop. This HP Pavilion 15.6” laptop offers an excellent battery life, an impressive 8GB memory and 1TB storage and comes in four funky colours – purple, silver, red and blue – so even the moodiest of moody teenagers should be happy.

This is super for a busy mom with only one free had to text with who does not want to fall flat on her face. It's available on iPhone only. Cool as.

If the little ones need to take their laptops and tablets to school and protect those tools from their sambos and smoothies, they’re going to need a sturdy bag. Do you need a caffeine hit in the morning before you can function – ehm, yes, do we not all need that? Pick up this Krups Nespresso machine and never drive to school in your PJs again. Promise. Offering 22 varieties of espresso and lungo, you might actually look forward to getting up in the morning during this school year. Coffee in a jiffy. We love.
10. The MySugr junior app
This app is a gift to parents. It's a child's Diabetes platform that gives little sufferers and their carers or parents direct communication in a very cool way. Control of the child's Diabetes becomes a fast and easy process for the parent when the kids are at school or away from home. It's an intelligent design with a playful engagement theme that gamifies their Diabetes care. It's available on the iTunes store and it's pretty slick.
