Girls from the age of five, up to women aged 50 (and every age in between) were asked what the word ‘mother’ means to them as part of a word association exercise in time for Mother’s Day in the US tomorrow.
Watch and listen to the varied responses – some silly and funny, some deep and meaningful – and notice how the meaning of the word changes as the participants get older.
