A HUGE Downton Abbey exhibition has opened and we’re booking flights

This looks incredible.

It’s been two years since the final season of Downton Abbey came to a finish, yet the fandom remains strong.

So, no doubt plenty of Downton enthusiasts will be utterly thrilled at this marvellous news!

There’s a brand-new exhibition that has just launched in Midtown Manhattan and it’s entirely dedicated to EVERYTHING Downton! *Whips open laptop to book flights to NYC*

Essentially, all the bits and pieces, the luxuries, the décor, the interiors… the entire set is ALL there! Think Lady Mary’s bedside table, the bell board within the servants’ quarters, Mrs Patmore’s beautiful kitchen with its delightful copper pots, wooden surfaces and ceramic bowls… everything!

When you step inside, it’s thought to be a true time-warp – transporting fans back to the post-Edwardian era where Highclere Castle comes to life!

And that’s not all, visitors can expect to learn about the social history of the time, the culture, the fashion, more about that iconic house and even more on the superb show.

Actress Sophia McShera, who played Daisy admitted “It’s all exactly the same,” while Lesley Nicol, who played Mrs P admitted she had become “a bit gulpy” after seeing the astounding exhibition bring our favourite show into 2018.

The nationwide tour has begun and is set to run through January. And who knows, it might not be TOO long until the exhibition moves further across the pond.
