The world went ga-ga for the first pics of singer John Legend and model-and-cookbook-author Chrissy Teigen’s baby girl Luna last month.
Chrissy is a candid social media star, and had even talked openly about her struggles to conceive before getting pregnant with her baby girl, and the women of the world fell in love with her for her real-ness.
It didn’t take long for her star to fade post-delivery, however, when – gasp – Teigen chose to head out for dinner with her husband a couple of weeks after her little girl was born, leaving the infant to be cared for at home by a nanny.
When snapped out sans baby, Teigen was swiftly subjected to criticism from online trolls on her parenting choices, with some even calling her a bad mum for spending a few hours away from her newborn.
Quick to call out the trolls, Chrissy tweeted the following the next morning:
I went to dinner. People are pissed. Good morning! pic.twitter.com/oQ54mtet8c

Clearly annoyed about the judgemental treatment his wife was being subjected to, John Legend recently called out the double standard between the way we treat mums and dads, and the standards they are to be measured against.
Funny there’s no dad-shaming. When both of us go out to dinner, shame both of us so Chrissy doesn’t have to take it all. We’ll split it.
