All the locations where you can visit Santa in Dublin city centre this Christmas.

Santa Claus is coming to town!

It’s an annual tradition for most families to visit jolly old Saint Nick once the holiday season rolls around.

I remember when I was little standing in the queue at Cleary’s, jumping up and down with excitement at the thought of getting to see Santa in person.

While Santa no longer stops by Cleary’s, he does still pop into many locations around the city centre and if your child is hoping to catch a glimpse of the man himself here are the places where they can.

Jervis Shopping Centre

If your child wants to visit Santa ASAP, then you’re in luck because he’s already in the Jervis and looking forward to lots of visitors!

The grotto is currently open from 10am – 6pm every day except for Saturday where visits begin at the later time of 12pm. From December 1 opening times will extend to 9am – 7pm on the weekends.

A visit plus parcel costs €10 for one child but discounted rates are available for those with multiple children.

Ilac Shopping Centre

Another Santa already set up and ready to welcome you into his grotto, the Ilac shopping centre are currently taking bookings for their Santa Experience.

Prices are €10 per child and €5 per adult and you can book your timeslot through their website.

Arnotts

One of the capital’s most popular spots to visit the man himself, Arnotts ushered in the festive season with the arrival of Santa on November 18.

You can find Santa’s Grotto on Level 2 of the store beside the magical Christmas Wonderland.

Everyone who visits the Grotto will get a collectable I’ve Seen Santa at Arnotts 2018 badge and there will also be a professional photographer to capture your visit.

The store provide a virtual Santa Q (which you can find here) so you and your little ones can avoid waiting around for long periods of time.

Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre

Situated at the top of one of Dublin’s busiest shopping spots, Santa’s grotto at Stephen’s Green comes highly recommended by parents.

Having arrived on November 24, this is one Santa experience highly anticipated by both parents and children.

The grotto is open daily from 10am to 5pm and ticket prices are €10 for visit and gift and €15 for visit, gift and photo.

GPO Witness History

Set to be something extra special, Santa will arrive at the historical GPO on December 1.

Not only will children get to visit Mr Claus but they can also find out Santa’s best kept secret, how all their letters make it to the North Pole!

Tickets to the grotto are €16 for children and €8 for adults and includes a visit to Santa’s Grotto, a special gift, hot chocolate and a self-guided visit to the award-winning GPO Witness History Visitor Experience.
