People from all over Ireland have made this part of their summertime ritual and it's easy to see why.
There's free entertainment all day long, kite making workshops and it's held in one of the most beautiful scenic spots in Dublin. There will also be a kite making competition for the crafty kids in the crowd.
My husband is mad to bring our son kite flying so I think we may have to swing by this Sunday and get in on some of the fun.
Last year's festival saw thousands attend and this year the summer spectacular is expected to be just as popular.
It can sometimes be stressful finding ways to occupy the kids during the holidays but with lots of music, face painting and kite flying fun, the kids will love it.
