“She just kept glaring at me…”
A man has come under fire after he shamed his wife’s friend and colleague for breastfeeding at their toddler’s birthday party.
The man explained that his wife was away on a business trip on the day of the party, but had invited her work colleague and toddler.
He said on Reddit [via Kidspot]
“Since it was my three-year-old’s birthday, we had a party consisting of kids from the ages of 2-15.
“Colleague’s baby apparently got hungry, colleague straight up started to breastfeed him on the dining table, not even a feet away from a few teenagers.
“There were about 20 kids, I had made a massive table in our backyard. I told her it would be better if she breastfeed her daughter in the room or the hallway since I felt it was inappropriate because of the age demographic of the party.
“She just kept glaring at me and fed the baby to her t**’s content while the teenagers right beside her sat in awkward silence.”
The man claimed that he would “be fine with it in public”, before adding that the woman proceeded to complain about him to his wife the next time they were on lunch together.
The commenters all pretty much sided with the wife’s colleague.

“Why is it OK in public but not OK there? At the end of the day, kids should learn that it’s totally natural and normal.”
Someone else wrote:
“Your attitude is exactly the reason women have such a hard time breastfeeding.
“If everyone in this country could drop their puritan BS for once, then teenagers would stop being shocked by a breast performing its god-given function.”

“The fact that a few teenagers might freak out a bit around a boob is normal. But you should know better. She can breastfeed wherever she wants.”
