A mum has told how she changed her toddler’s name after a tattoo artist misspelled it while inking her.
Johanna Giselhäll Sandström explained that she was hoping to get the names of her children – Nova and Kevin – on her arm.
Only…that wasn’t quite what she got.
It wasn’t until much later that she noticed her son’s name had been spelt Kelvin.
The mum, originally from Kyrkhult, Sweden, told Swedish newspaper Blekinge Läns Tidning:
“I thought I was going to faint.
“I said I wanted the names of my children tattooed on me and I gave the artist their names.
“The artist drew the design and didn’t ask anything about the spelling so I didn’t give it any more thought.”
And when she returned to the tattoo parlour, the artist laughed – and explained that they could only offer a refund. The mum was told it would be easy to fix with laser surgery.
However, after looking into the process of having it removed, she and her husband decided to take an alternative route.
They changed the then-almost-two-year-old boy’s name to Kelvin.
Johanna told how she will now be getting a tattoo of the name of her third child, Freya.
However, this time she’s planning on taking extra precautions.
She added:
“I’m going to write it down on a piece of paper and check it over 10,000 times,”
