Mum left mortified after what son tells his class she does for a living

"I need to leave the country don't I?"

A mum was left mortified when her little boy came up with a bizarre description for her job in front of his whole class. The woman, who took to Mumsnet for solace after the incident, explained that she hadn't even been aware of it until the teacher pulled her aside for a chat. Her son and the rest of his class had all been asked what their parents did for living, with each child taking turns to answer. And when her toddler was asked, he told his class that his dad worked in an office and helped people. So far so good, right? But when it came time to share what his mum (who works in the same place and does a similar job) did, the boy got a bit more...creative with his job description for her. The mortified mum wrote:

"Dropped my little boy who is four at school this morning and his teacher asked for a word, she was trying not to laugh. "Apparently on Friday they got asked what there mummy's and daddy's did for work. "My darling son said his dad works in an office and helps people (all good). "Darling son said his mummy- GETS HER BOOBS OUT. "WTF- I work in an office as well and help people.

"He has been with me in the office loads of times and met my boss and colleagues and we have even been out with my boss and her daughter who also works there.

"My husband works in the same place. The teacher was laughing and said you would not believe what they come out with but we just thought you should know. "How do I live this down and where did DS get it from, he is sometimes in the room when i get dressed but apart from that. "I need to leave the country don't I?"

Other parents were quick to assure her that she didn't need to consider fleeing the country, sharing their own tales of embarrassing moments. One mum said:

"Mine tried to get me to flash everyone in the supermarket when he was about one. "There I was, browsing toddler clothes, not realising my dress was at perfect grabbing height for a small person in a pushchair. "It was summer as well so no opaque tights either.'

Another wrote:

"The teacher will have heard much worse so definitely no need to leave the country. "My youngest told her teacher that I let her drink a whole bottle of beer on her seventh birthday. That was a fun conversation."

Someone else added:

"I got called over by teacher when my ds announced that we'd spent the weekend looking at naked men. "We'd been to the Victoria and Albert museum."

A different parent recalled:

"When my dd went to kindergarten the teacher said to us 'I promise not to believe everything they tell me about you, if you promise not to believe everything they tell you about me'."
