A mum-of-seven has been branded a “liar” by This Morning viewers after she claimed none of her kids had ever had a tantrum.
Gemma Rawnsley appeared on the chat show alongside Vanessa Felts, to analyse the viral footage of a father appearing to drag his daughter through an airport by her hood.
Vanessa said that it may have been some kind of game or enjoyable moment between the father and daughter. However, Gemma suggested that the man had “no relationship” with his daughter and that the move may have been “abusive.”
She claimed that none of her children had ever had a tantrum or talked back to her.
She said:
“I can honestly say in 14-and-a-half years of raising children – and I have seven children – I’ve never once had an incident… let’s just stop assuming she was fine with it.
“We don’t need to vilify but what we can do is have a conversation about… why are we always assuming that children are such a burden and so difficult to care for.
“I see a breakdown of relationship there.
“I’ve never once had any one of my children answer back to me or an incident where they’ve thrown a tantrum in a supermarket.
“I’ve based my ethos of parenting on relationship, mutual respect, conversation, and as a result we have a friendship.
“And honestly, I would pick my child up and I would carry them in a tender, loving way.”
She later added that while she didn’t believe the father was “abusive”, nobody could be sure as to what happened before the video as it was purely an “assumption”.
Her comments sparked outrage among some of This Morning fans who couldn’t quite believe her claims about her children.

If this women’s child has never had a tantrum in a supermarket. How is she parenting? Supermarket shopping is a ticking time bomb for a tantrum in my family… @thismorning #parenting #ThisMorning

Aren't we the perfect mummy. Never had a tantrum with her kids. Now she's used the abuse word. Be careful, lady. #thismorning
