Jennifer Garner knows the hilarious reality of being a mum all too well.
The 46-year-old shares three children with her ex-husband Ben Affleck: 12-year-old Violet, 9-year-old Seraphina and 6-year-old Samuel.
The actress doesn’t normally share photos of her children on her Instagram account – although she does share glimpses into her life as a mum.
One of her most recent Instagram posts shows the star opening up her dsayplanner, the BFF of basically every busy mum.
Only it didn’t quite look as she probably expected.

Across the days for August 22 and 23, one of her kids had decided to leave her a rather not-so-subtle message – the word “FART.”
In big, bold letters, too. Just in case their mum missed it, y’know.
She wrote alongside the photo:
“If you’re looking for me at the end of August— it appears I’m booked…”
Other mums couldn’t help but relate to the little surprise she discovered in her planner.
Someone commented:
“Yesss! Moms everywhere relate to this. gotta [do it] sometime! August seems good!”
Another added:
“I love the surprise messages in my notebooks from my kids.”
A different parent said:
“Oh my gosh that’s hilarious..gotta love those kiddos!”
And while the actress didn’t specify which one of her children had scribbled in the note, it seems like that it’s a sort of reoccurring trend with her son, Sam.

In April, she shared another message that she had received: a post-it that simply said, “I love farts.”
She joked alongside it:
“In case Monday has got you down, focus on the little things that make you happy.”
And while it’s possible that one of his siblings framed him, the fact that she added #boymom on it…well, guess that’s mystery solved.
