We LOVE this new campaign: If your parenting isn’t perfect, you’re doing it right

Parenting isn't always pretty

Sive O'Brien

If you’ve ever sniffed your baby to check whether or not they need their nappy changing, or locked yourself in the bathroom with a book for a few minutes of peace, then you are totally winning at parenting.

That’s the message behind a new campaign from Plum Organics, which says, “If it feels like parenting isn’t always perfect, you’re doing it right.” The brand recently launched a video, created by Stun Creative, that portrays parenthood in a more honest light than we sometimes see on TV or shared on social media.

With the help of LeadDog Marketing Group, the baby food company is reassuring mums and dads that parenting (in real life) isn’t always pretty by telling it like it is with a new #ParentingUnfiltered campaign. A caption posted underneath the video on YouTube reads, “This is parenting. It’s about taking a chance, living unscripted, admitting uncertainty along the way. It’s complex, but that’s the best part. Why put a filter on it? Because life unfiltered is full of amazing.”

Plum Organics co-founder and CEO, Neil Grimmer comments, “The truth is that 99 per cent of what parents are experiencing in their everyday lives is not reflected in the media, ads or their social media communications. We believe that there’s too much pressure on parents to be perfect.”

Have a watch of the video and see how many of the unfiltered things it shows parents doing you can relate to.
