Much as we sometimes long for some much-needed me-time, us parents know that leaving your kids for any length of time will always pull at those heart strings.

And celebrities are – surprise surprise – no different than the rest of us mortals, it seems.

Dad-of-four David Beckham recently opened up to GQ about fatherhood – and naturally said words so sweet our ovaries collectively skipped several beats.

The handsome 40-year-old, who admitted he can often be found watching Frozen ‘for the hundredht time with Harper’, explained: “I get physically ill when I have to leave the kids now.”

He also spoke to the magazine about how happy he was at this point in his life: “‘I’m secure as a person, as a husband, as a dad. I’ve gone past the point of really worrying, caring.”

Now that his footballing days are behind him, Becks said he is more than happy for his focus to be on his family and his kids these days.

Just recently, on Mother’s Day, he posted a gorgeous family snap on his Instagram page with the words: “17 years ago our brood started and these little ones have the most amazing mummy that they love so much. And I love her for so many reasons but the main one is because she gave me the most amazing children.”
