Organised by Cyber Safe Kids, the project aims to create awareness of the time spent on our devices and promote healthy online habits. Families are encouraged to use Cyber Break as an opportunity to spend time with one another and reconnect by playing board games, watching movies or getting outdoors - basically anything and doesn't involve our screens!
And it sounds like something we could all benefit from. Considering 93% of 8-12 year olds own their own smart device and 84% of that age group have their own social media account, it's safe to say kids today might find it pretty hard to switch off from the digital world.
Plus, when you sign up, you'll get some handy downloadable resources and activities to keep you busy during your cyber break.
