Pass the tissue - IVF baby-turned-fashion-model shares her family story
For model Josephine Skriver, convincing everyone she was "just the same as everyone else" seemed unnecessary but, she found herself doing just that. When her mother, a gay woman, was a child, she had always dreamed of being a mother. She placed an ad in a newspaper and got a reply from Josephine's future dad.
Josephine's father was preparing to wed his male partner at the time.
As a kid, Josephine never questioned who she was as it was completely natural to her. When she started to travel as a young model, things changed.
Throwaway comments like "She's not made the natural way - she shouldn't even be here" never affected her optimistic outlook on life as an IVF baby.
Josephine's story is so heartfelt; we had to share.
