We’ll try anything.

Prince William has always come across as a hands-on dad so no doubt he’ll be brilliant when he and Kate welcome their third child this month.

Changing nappies and spoiling your other half are one thing when you’re a new dad, but what to do when baby just won’t stop crying at 3am?

Speaking about his older kids a few years back, the prince revealed that the sound of running water helped to calm his eldest, Prince George, as a baby.

Luckily, he said, Princess Charlotte wasn’t much of a crier.

Speaking previously about fatherhood, the Duke of Cambridge admitted that as well as learning new things, becoming a dad has made him more emotional.

He explained in When Ant and Dec Met the Prince: 40 Years of the Prince’s Trust: “I’m a lot more emotional than I used to be, weirdly.

“I never used to get too wound up or worried about things. But now the smallest little things, you well up a little more, you get affected by the sort of things that happen around the world or whatever a lot more, I think, as a father.”
