The embarrassment. Oh dear, we have all been there.
Slight correction we have not actually ALL been there. We have not fallen in front of hundreds of tourists who previous to our fall they had been watching our every… single… move. No. We have never plunged into Buckingham Palace concrete with a continental audience albeit with such comic greatness!
The changing of the guards is a highlight for any London tourist between 11.15 am and 12.00 pm each day with the exception of bad weather days. Said guards and a fitting band begin the ceremony. Lonely Planet notes it as one of those “must-see’s” for your bucket list.
Can you bear to imagine the teasing that Guard got over supper? The slow motion fall is close to being elegant… we are sure that even the Queen would have had a sneaky giggle at this one.
