Former Spice Girl Geri Horner has opened up about the struggles she and her husband Christian faced when trying to conceive their her second child.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2015, welcomed their son Monty in January 2017.

But Geri, who also has an 11 year old daughter named Bluebell from a past relationship, said that the couple had been trying for more than a year after their wedding.

She told Red Magazine:

“I wanted another baby and I’d tried an assisted route and it didn’t work.

“I feel for any woman who has that natural biological longing, it’s tough.

“I’d got to thinking I have a child, my husband has a daughter, and accepting this is our lot. Then Monty came naturally.

“Bluebell is sweet with him. Helps me change his nappy, pushes the pram.”

But the mum has currently focused her attention on the holiday ahead, telling the publication that she loves the “build up to [Christmas], when optimism and joy are in the air”.

And while she may be a fan of the holiday, she’s trying to make sure her kids understand and appreciate what they have.

She explained:

“With Bluebell, I’m conscious she understands things need to be appreciated.

“That’s why I haven’t given her a phone yet. She’s the only one not to have one in her class.”

The proud mum recently shared a sweet photo on social media of herself cuddling her 10-month-old son.

She wrote alongside it:

“Sometimes, I’ve just got to pause – take a minute to say thank you #thankyou #blessed.”
