We reckon Stacey Solomon just landed herself a ‘Best Mum Ever’ award with her boys – but oh man did she regret her fun play hack once it was too late to turn back!

The 31-year-old mum-of-three is known for getting creative when it comes to entertaining her brood of boys, but TBH, we weren’t prepared for her latest project that saw her filling her entire bathroom floor with sand for the kids to play on.

Yes, really.

The Loose Woman star admitted in a series of Instagram stories that she has initially ordered the sand to fill her youngest son Rex’s outdoor play pit. However, when a bag big enough to fill 10 play pits – and then some – arrived on her doorstep, Stacey’s boys got a crazy idea.

Zachary, 12, Leighton, eight, and Rex, one – asked their mum could they have a beach in the bathroom – and she caved.

Lining her bathroom floor with old bin bags, the 31-year-old then piled on the sand and, oh dear God, there is a lot of sand inside that room.

True to form, Stacey couldn’t help but poke a little fun at the current controversy which saw several influencers fly to Dubai for a ‘working’ holiday – in the middle of a pandemic.

She captioned her hilarious Instagram post:

“Beach Life – in the bathroom! When your sandpit sand order isn’t what you expected and you don’t have any essential work in Dubai.’

‘Tonight I caved. I feel like this might be the only beach they visit for quite a while so I thought why not ey… I’ll also be using this as bribery [for the kids] until the end of time… The next time they say they don’t want to get out of bed, brush their teeth, eat their dinner, log on to teams I’m going to remind them of the time I said: “ok then fine, let’s build a beach in the bathroom.” I’m not joking when I say I can’t believe that after all of this the sand bag is still practically full.”

She added:

“If anyone is in need of some sandpit sand I’m your girl! Happy Wednesday love you all! P.S the colour difference in my bath after the big boys got out is cracking me up. P.P.S This is 100% ply pit sand I quadruple checked. It’s just i bought a bag to fill an entire playground instead of our sandpit.”

She admitted that once she has seen the sand on the floor and just how much of it there was, she was for a second filled with Instagram regret. But then she remembered how much she missed being on a beach (don’t we all!) and that more than made up for the mess:
