“I’ve found it challenging and rewarding.”

I think most of us have had our struggles with parenting during lockdown.

The first couple of months in particular were pretty tough with home schooling being added to the mix.

Now with schools back open there is some semblance of normality and while there are still challenges, there are some positives too.

Strictly Come Dancing Winner, Ore Oduba recently opened up about a positive experience he’s had while parenting through lockdown.

During an interview on Waterwipes Instagram page with Dr Laura Lenihan, Ore said;

“It’s the best bit being a parent. I’ve found it challenging and rewarding at the same time and the most incredible thing that’s ever happened to us

On the most part I’m his [Roman] second favourite. Which I’m happy with a silver medal at this stage.

I think that it’s natural he’s only two and a half and he’s spent most the time with his mother that they are closer.

But when we spent time together during lockdown, it has been amazing.”

I don’t think Ore is alone in this feeling as I’ve heard a lot of parents who would usually work away from home discuss how much they are enjoying the extra time with their children.

While working from home can have it’s challenges (hello interrupted work video call), it’s also been lovely getting to spend my lunch break out in the back garden with the kids.

To be honest I feel like it’s gotten to the stage with me that not working from home is going to feel very weird and it is going to feel very strange once the time comes to go back to the office.

How do you feel about working from home while parenting?

Do you love it or can you not wait to get back to your workplace?
