Apparently, the ‘opposites attract’ belief is rubbish

HerFamily

They do say that “opposites attract” but it seems that a new study has undermined that belief.

In fact, experts found that people associate with and are attracted to those who are similar to them in terms of values and opinions.

And it’s not just romantic couples, they found that friends and casual acquaintances also tended to have shared ground.

So basically, we are drawn to those who are like us from the first moment we meet them.

The findings, which were published in the Personality and Social Psychology journal, also found that the things that matter to people don’t really change over time.

In other words, if the other half is obsessed with golf, he ain’t gonna change any time soon!
