A photograph of a toddler “breastfeeding” his younger sibling has sparked quite the debate online.
The below image – which includes the caption “Don’t worry mom, I’ve got you covered” – was shared on the Breastfeeding Mama Talk Facebook page earlier this month.

The picture has received over 20,000 ‘Likes’ and has been shared more than 15,000 times with a number of people relating to it.
One wrote: “This is too cute! My 3yr old son tries and sometimes does (when I’m either sleeping or not paying attention) breastfed me lol he’s adorable. He says one side has milk and the other has juice.”
Another commented: “I love it! It is such a natural process and kids should be comfortable with it. Not to mention it is very healthy, in fact my niece is pumping and freezing her milk for me because it is supposed to kill cancer. You go breast feeding Mommies!”
However the reaction hasn’t been entirely positive with some describing it as “inappropriate” and “pornographic.”
A user said: “Definitely gone too far with this picture. People will do anything for a like or comment or share. The little babies interests was definitely not top priority.”
Someone who also didn’t like it wrote: “This is disgusting to say the least. If it were the mother….that’s different……I see no problem….but to allow a sibling…that is just sick. I see no humor in this at all!! But it got the attention that apparently someone wanted.”
