Newborn photographs are always gorgeous but sometimes the photographer captures a moment that the parents probably won’t share in the album.
Abbie Rogers caught one such moment with the Carlson family. Their son Pryor had to answer nature’s call during the shoot and what resulted was a snap that has now gone viral.
She posted the picture on her Facebook and wrote: “So…. This happened today! In case anyone wants to know what really happens during a newborn session.”
Abbie told HerFamily.ie that the moment happened about 30 minutes into the shoot and that she never expected it to get such a reaction online.
She explained: “I posted the image the evening of the shoot and although I knew it would be popular I didn’t realize it would go viral! It had over 10k likes and hundreds of shares within 24 hours.”
So …. This happened today! In case anyone wants to know what really happens during a newborn session.

She added: “The Carlson Family and sweet baby Pryor are the stars of the show. At the time of the shoot, he was less than 2 weeks old as that’s the best time for newborn photos…
“Like I said, I knew it was funny but it’s just the reality of what happens during a newborn session! We had a good laugh after it was all said and done.
“And as long as what happened doesn’t ruin the photo or parents/backdrops are soaked, I just dab it up with paper towels and baby wipes and keep the session going. We clean everyone/everything up after the photo has been taken.”
