Every kid tells little white lies and more often than not, we can tell when they’re spoofing. Parents have a special intuition about lies, but sometimes it can be hard to tell whether they’re bluffing or not!
One mum has shared a genius hack to stop her children from lying to her and we’re VERY impressed.
She couldn’t help but laugh when she told her followers the little tip.
She explained that, “I told my children that when they lie a star appears on their forehead that only a grown-up can see.”
“So anytime they’re lying to me they cover their forehead,” she shared.

Other parents decided to share the lies they told their children and some of them are absolutely hilarious!
“I told my kids, that our car doesn’t drive when they don’t have the seat belt on,” one said.
“My child fully believes I have eyes on the back of my head that are invisible to kids.”
“As someone who doesn’t want to lie to their kids, I’m finding some really appealing ideas in the comments and starting to reconsider it,” another added.
“I told my daughter that every time the ice cream truck plays music it means they ran out of ice cream. Saved me so much for 10 years,” another mum added. We will definitely be trying this one out during the summer.
If your kids aren’t eating their vegetables then this tip could work in your favour.
“I told my son that when I cook vegetables I only use recipes Spider-Man gave me. He eats everything on his plate now.”
And another eating hack: “My mom told my sister that wheat bread was white bread dressed up in Halloween costume so she would eat it.”
One person revealed their parents fooled them when they were younger, “My parents convinced me to behave well in order to get two days off kindergarten… Saturday and Sunday. I didn’t understand what weeks were.”
