Whitney Port shares emotional video about breastfeeding struggles

"A challenge I didn't feel prepared for at all."

Trine Jensen-Burke

She has been sharing honest and relatable updates about her pregnancy journey every since she first broke the news that she was expecting.

And now, after having welcomed baby boy Sonny into the world just a few weeks ago, Whitney Port continues to give her followers an unfiltred insight into motherhood – with fans worlwide applauding her for her openness and honesty.

This week, the new mama took to Instagram again to share a snippet of her latest video diary blog, “I love my baby, but…” and admitted that when it comes to breastfeeding, she is not finding it to come all that easy and hiccup free.

Wiping away tears, Port explains that while she loves knowing that her baby is getting all his nutrients from her milk and knowing the amazing job her body is doing, she is still finding breastfeeding a challenge, and asks her followers for comments and tips to help her out.

I’m not obsessed with breastfeeding. There. I said it. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the fact that my baby is getting all the amazing nutrients from my milk and that I am literally giving him life, but it has been quite the challenge. A challenge I didn’t feel prepared for at all. In this Chapter of I Love My Baby But… I discuss my trying journey through breastfeeding. I have gained so much confidence just through the support you guys have given me, so if any of this rings true or you have any tips, I am all ears. We mothers have to be there for each other. I sincerely believe this community is what has given me the confidence to feel I am not doing anything wrong. Yes, there are times the opinions and judgements of other seep in, but then I remember I have you guys and it makes all the difference. I am really looking forward to reading all the comments and tips this week. I need them more than ever. Click the link in bio to watch full video. XOXO
