This children’s book about sex is risqué and hilarious in equal measure

Laura Holland

Try explaining this one.

Katherine Peck was paying a routine visit to the doctor, with her two children, when one of them read a book aimed at educating children about sex.

It went well outside of ‘the bird and the bees’ type of explanation and full on karma sutra.

She shared the images on Facebook and said:

“Well!!! That doctor’s surgery visit took a surprising twist!….

Adem picked up this innocent enough looking book “Mummy Laid an Egg!”.

All began routinely enough, with ‘sugar and spice and all things nice’ and such, but I was ill prepared for the most sudden U-Turn on Page 6, where we’re introduced to Daddy’s friendly looking ‘seed pods’!”

She continued:

“No holds barred on Pages 8 and 9 either, where apparently ‘this fits in here…’ (sounds easy enough)”

It didn’t stop there either:

“and then what can only be described as a child-friendly Kama Sutra guide ensues on Page 10! Aerial acrobatics, fetish clown outfits and space hoppers (fun times!)”

It left a lot of questions to be answered, to say the least.
