For the sixth year in a row, Oliver topped the boys' list - with 5,390 boys given the name in 2018 - while Olivia retained its number one spot on the girls' list for the third time running.
Other popular names include Amelia, Ava, Isla and Emily while George, Harry, Noah and Jack rounded up the top five baby names for boys.
Interestingly, according to the study, mothers aged 35 years and over prefer more 'traditional' names, while younger mums are more keen on modern and slightly more quirky monikers.
