Choosing a name for your little one is never an easy task, but looking into baby name trends can always help whittle down your options.
Irish names, three-letter names, and vintage names appear to be some of the most popular at the moment.
New mums are opting for old-fashioned names like Josephine, Eloise, and Juniper again, but there's one surprising vintage baby name making a surprise comeback.
The name Vivian is proving extremely popular with new parents, and the meaning behind the charming moniker may be why.
The name is of Latin origin and means 'lively', which is pretty perfect for your darling girl.
According to Colleen Slagen, author of Naming Bebe, Vivian has returned to the top 100 baby names and is currently placed at #99.
This is the first time the moniker has appeared in the top 100 baby names since 1934, so its comeback has been a long time coming.
Explaining the surge in popularity of this name, Colleen Slagen told Yahoo! Life:
“I think vintage names evoke a sense of nostalgia. I get a lot of clients who pull out their family tree, looking to grandparents and great-grandparents for name inspiration."
