Woman causes outrage over unique baby name suggestion

This woman picked a pretty odd name for her baby

There are some baby names out there that won’t always be everyone’s cup of tea, but one woman has suggested such a unique name that it’s causing a heated debate online.

We will seek baby name inspiration from so many things in our lives whether it’s our own family, our favourite movie or book, or even our favourite colour and place.

There are dozens of options out there and the name you give your child will always be extra special to you.

However, this woman suggested calling a baby after a vegetable.

Yes, really.

The woman explained that she wasn’t pregnant yet but was considering this name as an option.

She wrote on Reddit: “Garlic. I’m a garlic girl. I f***ing love garlic. Allicin is one of the main compounds in garlic, and it’s insanely healthy and delicious.

“Allicin is pronounced just like Alison. Tragedeigh or normal name?” she asked.

She stressed that she wasn’t expecting but was surprised nobody called their child Allicin yet.

She added: “I’m not actually considering naming my kid this. I’m not even pregnant. I was just reading about garlic’s compounds and thought I’m surprised nobody has named their kid after garlic.”

Fellow Reddit users were pretty shocked by the suggestion and said it’s a ‘sin’.

“Thanks. I needed a name for a District 11 Hunger Games character,” one quipped.

“Were you high when this thought came to you? Love garlic a lot too but naming a kid after it is wild,” another said.

It’s safe to say the name suggestion didn’t go down well.
