Like any new mum, Amy Schumer’s social media is currently focused on her new life and leap into motherhood.
Unlike many of her fellow celebrity mothers, however, the Americal actress and comedian, who welcomes her little boy, Gene, on May 6th, is keeping it seriously real when it comes to postpartum life with a newborn.
For instance, to mark her firstborn’s birth, Schumer, who gave birth on the same day as the Duchess of Sussex, captioned her baby announcement:
“Our royal baby was born.”
Alongside the announcement, the new mum shared a picture of herself cradling little Gene – and really, it is an image so genuine and relatable that anyone who has ever given birth will relate to.
And in the days that followed little Gene’s birth, Schumer has continued to do what she does best – make us all howl with laughter as she so refreshingly keeps it real and pokes all sorts of fun at herself.

And now, it seems, Schumer just got up front and personal about breastfeeding on her Instagram account, sharing an image of herself pumping milk for her newborn baby boy:
