Themed baby names can sometimes feel a little heavy-handed but can also be a lovely way to link to the season that your little one comes along in.
Here in Ireland, everyone knows a Nollaig, a Noel or even a Pascal who was named in honour of the time of year they were born but supermodel Candice Swanepoel has just given her newborn son a very modern seasonal name.
She has announced on Instagram that she’s named her second born Ariel, sharing a gorgeous photo of the little boy with her one-year-old son Anacan.
“These are the most precious gifts life has given me,” she wrote.
“I am a lucky woman to be their mommy, to help guide them through this thing called life… Now they will always have each other #brothers.”
Candice announced that she’d given birth in a post last week.
The 29-year-old Victoria’s Secret Angel had kept fans updated throughout her pregnancy, sharing pictures of her growing baby bump on social media
She announced she was expecting her second child back in December, writing on Instagram that “Christmas came early.”
