Emma McVey responds to those who say her weight caused her son’s illness

Emma McVey has confronted those who said that her baby had gotten sick due to her weight during her pregnancy.

The new mum said that her baby boy, Chester, had picked up rotavirus despite being vaccinated.

He was taken to hospital last week after parents Emma and Gaz Beadle noticed that he wasn’t sleeping.

Emma took to Instagram to respond to those who were suggesting that Chester had gotten sick because of her weight. She called these people “sick” and said that her pregnancy had “nothing to do with” her boy’s illness.

“For all the sick people saying any of Chester’s illnesses are due to my weight through pregnancy…

“He has picked up rotavirus. Yes, he’s had all the vaccines for it but there’s clearly a severe virus going around. My pregnancy has absolutely nothing to do with it.”

Emma received constant criticism for her weight during pregnancy.

The former model’s bump remained small throughout her pregnancy due to the positioning of her son in the womb.

Emma said that he had positioned himself “behind the placenta” which would have accounted for her small bump right up until her due date.

She went on:

“The Leeds General Infirmary have been absolutely amazing and stopped him becoming dehydrated from (the virus).

“Please think before being a mummy troll, before trolling at all. I have and always will do everything for Chester.”

Emma and Gaz welcomed baby Chester back in January.

The 25-year-old recently told of how she opted to have a C-section due to the size of her baby and the subsequent difficulties that arose during birth.
