Parent shares shocking photo of the burn her toddler sustained at the beach

This is so frightening.

A parent recently shared a photo of their child's badly injured foot after the family had spent the day at the beach. The two-year-old sustained horrifying burns when they accidentally stood on a disposable BBQ that had been left discarded on the ground by another beach user. The child's parent took to social media to share the image and warn others about the dangers of using disposable BBQs in public places.

"This bad burn on the foot of a 2 year old who was playing on the beach. It was caused by a disposable BBQ that was not disposed of over the bank holiday weekend properly. This could have been avoided if the BBQ had been put in the bin or disposed of correctly. Please be considerate, dispose of your waste and keep our countryside clean and safe."

With the summer months approaching more and more families will be heading to the beach so it's worrying to think how easily an accident like this could happen again. If you are visiting a beach or public area with your child make sure to have a scout around the area that they are playing for any dangerous debris. Likewise, if you are using a disposable BBQ for a picnic in a public place make sure to dispose of it in a safe manner to avoid further injuries occurring.
