If you're not familiar with La Leche League, it is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organisation dedicated to providing support, encouragement, information and education to women who want to breastfeed.
Many areas will have a regional La Leche Laegue group but the organisation also holds an annual conference to reach out to mothers from across the country.
La Leche League will be holding their next national conference on March 7 and 8, in Clayton Whites Hotel, Abbey Street, Wexford.
During the conference there will be family-friendly weekend of talks from Nancy Mohrbacher, Wendy Jones and Aoife Hearne as well as workshops, stalls and activities for all the family.
Confirmed workshops include Night time Parenting and Assertiveness for the Breastfeeding Mother while other proposed sessions include Mothering Through Menopause, Working and Breastfeeding – What do Mothers Need to Know?, Birth and Breastfeeding and book club.
The conference is not only a great chance to learn helpful tips when it comes to breastfeeding but it's also a great opportunity to meet other breastfeeding mums. Sometimes it really does make the world of difference to chat to other mothers who have been through the same nursing trials and errors as yourself.
Weekend fees include sessions, keynote address, children’s refreshments and coffee. Day fees include events of the day, children’s refreshments and coffee.
Ticket prices for the conference vary but you can find out all ticket information and booking information if you require an over night stay at the Clayton on the La Leche League of Ireland website.Explore more on these topics:
